Elmer's Clipper Service EXCHANGE PROGRAM is a new concept in providing clipper blade sharpening services for our customers. Groomers and Veterinarians used to have to ship their dull blades to a sharpener (at the groomers expense) and the blades would be gone for up to 3 weeks. Elmer's Clipper Service EXCHANGE PROGRAM solves these problems, AND more. Sharp blades are shipped to you first. Once you get the sharp blades - the dull blades you're using are returned to us and all you pay is the sharpening service fee. On orders of 15 blades or more, we pay all the regular freight charges (in the continental United States) (Express delivery is available for an added fee). A postage paid return shipping label or box is included with all orders, for your convenience.

Here's how to get started in Elmer's Clipper Service EXCHANGE PROGRAM:

Prepare a list of your dull blades that you wish to enter into the EXCHANGE PROGRAM.

Call us toll-free at 1-800-36-BLADE, tell us what size & how many of each blade you need, when you need them, and how you wish to pay for your order; either by check, money order or credit card (you will need a major credit card to authorize/guarantee your order - just like you would guarantee a hotel room). Your order of SHARP blades will be shipped that day, via UPS Ground, and Elmer's Clipper Service exchange program will pay for freight (on order of 15 blades or more) - you pay just $4.25 per blade. (For an extra charge, we will ship your blades U.P.S. Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air or 3rd Day Select). Wow - sharp blades the next day!

When the sharp blades arrive - box up an equal amount of dull blades (use the same shipping box, the preprinted return shipping label is already attached), enclose your check (if you do not wish your order to be charged to your credit card), and send it back to us, via your preference (US Mail or UPS) as stated when order was placed. We have just EXCHANGED dull blades for sharp ones - with NO TIME LOST!

We maintain all blades in the EXCHANGE - No more springs, screws or sockets to replace, blade rattle will be kept to a minimum, and we keep all blades clean and rust free. Plus, we are a great source of new clipper blades and other equipment. We buy direct from the manufacturer, so we can pass the savings on to you!

All certified Exchange Program clipper blades have been electro-etched with our toll free order number. This tells us that we have sharpened this blade before and that when it was last sent out, it had all it’s teeth and otherwise met all the Exchange Program requirements.

All dull blades sent into the Exchange Program are inspected to requalify them. They MUST have all their teeth - without any chips, they must be free of pitting from rust (if rust must be removed from blades submitted into the Exchange Program, the $1.00 per blade fee will be charged to submitting customer) and they must be either Oster A5 or Andis AG model blades (others will rejected - regardless of condition) without any alterations. We expect dull return blades to have all their parts: the comb, the cutter, the spring, the guide, the socket/ bracket and 2 screws. If blades are received with missing parts the customer will be charged for the replacement of the missing part (except screws - no big deal on them). We will replace worn out sockets, guides and cutters - at no charge to the Exchange Program customer - but we do expect the blades to arrive complete.

Blades received into the Exchange Program that DO NOT QUALIFY will be cleaned, de-rusted, sharpened and tested to make sure they are still serviceable. They will then be shipped back to the submitting customer. The customer will be charged the Add-A-Blade replacement cost for NON-QUALIFIABLE blades received.
